SELF-INITIATED VISUAL IDENTITY FOR A LONDON BASED ARCHITECTURE PRACTICE. THE APPROACH WAS TO OVEREMPHASISE WHAT THEY DO, 'PERSONALISE YOUR SPACE' AND USE THAT AS THE CENTRAL GRAPHIC DEVICE.

USING PYS IN A BOLD PLAYFUL MANNER REINFORCES THEIR MESSAGE CONSISTENTLY, INCREASING THEIR VISIBILITY AND DOES SO IN A WAY TO DIFFERENTIATE FROM THEIR COMPETITORS AND BE MEMORABLE. BY REMOVING THE SPACE AROUND 'PERSONALISE YOUR SPACE', HALVING IT AND SEPARATING THE WORDS, IT THEN BECOMES A FRAME FOR THE SPACE ITSELF TO PERSONALISE. A PUNCHY SUNRISE OR SUNSET ORANGE RELATES BACK TO THE USE OF LIGHT AND ITS EFFECTIVENESS WITHIN A SPACE.

RENAMING THEIR EXISTING COMPANY NAME AND OMITTING THE AMPERSAND BETWEEN BOTH SURNAMES AND BRINGING THEM TOGETHER IS TO SYMBOLISE AND CONVEY THAT THEY’RE NOT JUST SOME OTHER TWO-PERSON ARCHITECTURE PRACTICE, THAT THEY ARE SIMPATICO IN LIFE AND WORK. THIS SUBTLETY REFLECTS THAT THEIR RELATIONSHIP, THEIR PARTNERSHIP FEEDS IN TO THE COLLABORATIVE PROCESS WITH THEIR CLIENTS.
